CONGRATS TO THE BTHS ITEST TEAM!!!

The BTHS ITEST team won third place in the city wide ITEST Innovation Competition held yesterday at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. The team members were: Calvin Wang, David Peng, Aleks Knyazev, Karen Chan, Simon Haung, Steven Wu, Thomas Larsen, Jacob Piehl, Carlotios Rodgigues, Harpreet Kaur, and Matthew Bilik. Presenting and defending the team prototype at NYU were: Thomas Larsen, Aleks Knyazev, Steven WuKaren Chan, and Matthew Bilik. The BTHS ITEST team has developed a prototype robotic platform called Micro-Robo-Sist-Scope, which enables STEM students all over the world to use tele-microscopy to study the atom and enables diagnostic pathologists and health workers to microscopically examine specimens contaminated with radioactive agents or super pathogens. Highly impressed by the BTHS team performance, the judges of the Innovation Competition have recommended that the team advance their prototype to mass production and marketing.
