Reading Challenge for Brooklyn Tech

The library is launching a Reading Challenge for Brooklyn Tech students, teachers and families to help build a culture of reading in the school. The goal is to read six books in six months in special categories (below) from December - May. This initiative is meant to foster fun and expand your reading - not stress and one more thing to do! In that spirit, feel free to join at any time, and celebrate what you do read. For more info and to sign up click headline.

The goal is to read six books in six months in special categories (below) from December - May.   This initiative is meant to foster fun and expand your reading - not stress and one more thing to do!  In that spirit, feel free to join at any time, and celebrate what you do read.

Signing up will help us track participation and qualify you for book giveaways and incentives.

Categories (in no specific order):
  • a book you have wanted to read for a long time
  • a new book from 2017-2019
  • a memoir, autobiography or biography
  • a graphic novel that is not manga or DC
  • a book with a protagonist that looks nothing like you
  • a book outside of your regular genres - consider a book of poetry, short stories, essays, science books, self-help, etc.
Rules: book must be new to you; one book per category; audiobooks count
