The Engineers kicked off their indoor track season with a fantastic showing Sunday (12/2/18) at the Ft. Washington Ave. Armory in Washington Heights/Manhattan. For more info click headline.

The Boys Track Team took 2nd place powered by 1st & 2nd place finishes in 1600 meters by Evan Sherman ('19) & Dylan Canales ('20); Astor Meredith-Gouton ('19) taking 1st place in the 600 meters; 2nd place by Bishopp Boutin ('19) in the 55 meter hurdles; a Tech sweep of 1st place finishes in the Varsity and Freshman 4x800 meter relays (Varsity: Dylan Canales, Peja Breuler ('19), Konstantin Van Schendel ('19) & Evan Sherman; Freshmen: Arno Zheng, Erik Nebel, Dylan Zhao & Edward Chan -- all class of '22).  

The Girls Track Team got their 2018-19 indoor season off running with a 7th place finish overall including 3rd, 4th and 5th place finishes by Christy Huynh ('20), Vivianne Navarrete ('21) and Isabella Greyser ('21) in the 1500 meter race as well as a 2nd place finish by Farah Osman ('22) in the Freshman 1000 meters. 

With yesterday's 1st meet of the season, Sherman and Canales have now met the PSAL qualifying time for the 1600 meter City Championships next February as did Boutin in the 55 meter hurdles, Meredith-Gouton & DeQuane Nealy ('20) in the 600 meters, Huynh in the Girls 1500 meters and the Boys varsity 4x800 A-team.  Great work!

The BTHS Boys track team returns to the Armory this Friday (12/7/18) for the PSAL "Night of the Sprints" while the Girls team will next run at the Bishop Loughlin Games at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island on 12/16/18.
