NYC Science and Engineering Fair

This year, seven research projects by Brooklyn Tech students competed in the finals of the NYC Science and Engineering Fair at the American Museum of Natural History. For more info click headline.

At the event, (1) Senior Tiffany Lam’s project was ranked first in environmental science, (2) senior Mei Shin Lee’s project was ranked second in physics and received the “Stockholm Junior Water Award”, (3) junior Claudia Maletti’s project was ranked second in molecular biology, (4) senior Divya Shah placed third in chemistry, (5) junior Nimra Shakoor placed second in medicinal and health sciences, (6) junior Raisha Waller placed third in social science, and (7) the project of juniors Calvin Wang, Simon Hong, and David Peng placed third and received awards from the US Air Force and the Meteorological Society of America.

In each case, the project represented at least a year's work and a significant contribution to their respective fields of investigation. Congratulations to all.
